My Life in Food and Drink

I have always been adventurous with food.
My father would let me choose a themed restaurant
every alternating Friday on his visitation weekends.
Japanese, Spanish, Indian.
Whatever weird, exotic food I wanted to try.
It was awesome.
Here are some highlights of food and drink I believe to be especially noteworthy.

Milkshakes, Johnny Rockets, Minneapolis, MN
Twin Lobster, Ellsworth, ME
Cape Ann Pumpkin Stout, The Grill Next Door, Haverhill, MA
Cactus Salad, The Red Iguana, East Kingston, NH

Fried Cheese, Floyd's Bar, Victoria, MN

Pastrami on Rye, Katz's Delicatessen, New York, NY
Duck Dumplings, China

Turkey Legs, King Richard's Faire, Carver, MA

Eat Boston Guacaholics Anonymous

I love Mexican food, guacamole especially.
Avocado is a delicious super-food
and cilantro is my absolute favorite seasoning.

My BFF Danielle and I set up shop at the bar with purses, napkins and margaritas
We watched as the 8 or so businesses set up shop.
Some were even making the guacamole right there, mixing in the pico de gallo.
All the guacamole was fresh and delicious.

Our favorite was El Centro Boston.
There were two kinds, regular and one with finely chopped chorizo.
A close second was Temazcal. Very Cilantro-y.
The host cantino, Barrio Cantino, had a guacamole with a strong cumin flavor.

For $15 a ticket, this experience was worth every penny.
Delicious food and drinks along with excellent service at the bar.
